Our goal is not only to effectively stream your wedding but also to offer you a comfortable, stress-free experience. For couples curious about how it all works, here’s a brief explainer:
Video: We use high-end Sony 4K video cameras. Depending on the package you select, we'll either have one cameras or multiple cameras. Our main cameras are mounted on tripods, placed in strategic locations in the venue where we can get the best angles. Our roaming setup uses a DJI Ronin gimbal, which stabilises the footage—resulting in video quality that looks like it was filmed on a camera dolly. This option allows the operator to be highly mobile and effortlessly roam around. When we shoot with multiple cameras we use a switcher to cut between different angles.
We use industry-leading Rode Wireless Go microphones. These microphones are about the size of an Apple AirPods case. A small lapel microphone can also be wired to it if desired. Being so compact, the Rode Wireless Go can be discreetly clipped onto a shirt pocket, which is what we usually do with your celebrant. If your celebrant is using a handheld microphone, we’ll also attach the Rode to it, so that when you are delivering your vows, your guests can clearly hear you. Finally, an ambient microphone on the camera captures music, crowd reactions, and the general atmosphere of your wedding.
We've perfected our live streaming hardware setup to deliver video excellence. We use a professional video encoder by LiveU, an industry leader in portable broadcast technology. This battery-operated device—about the size of a small tissue box—transmits video from our Sony 4K cameras. One of the main benefits of using this system is that it allows us to network bond multiple 4G and 5G signals, which significantly increases our internet speed and effectively eliminates poor reception. Through this process, LiveU transmits video to our chosen destination via a Melbourne-based server. In plain English: your wedding is streamed in 1080p HD without any lag or buffering.
YouTube Live: We choose to live stream weddings on YouTube because it's a popular and widely used platform. Everyone knows how to use it, which makes watching your wedding very straightforward. Once you book us, we’ll grab a photo of you and your partner and schedule your livestream. The link is private, meaning only those with the link can view it—no one can search for it. You can then share this link with your guests. They’ll be able to see a countdown timer and get ready to watch.
